Fishing Net

Bird's eye view of the Fishing net in Phu Yen, Viet Nam. Vietnam has been considered a country of wet rice and sea, island culture. However, for a long time, the Vietnamese just focused on farming, went far from the forest, and pale at the sea (trọng nông, xa rừng, lánh biển). Therefore, going fishing is very close to the seashore with simple boats without any hi-tech equipment. This photo captured the small boat with a big fishing net of the farmers on the sea which is far more different from the sea culture in other Asian countries such as Japan, Korea, and China which usually use big boats with high technology for fishing.
